KEY SECURITY INITIATIVES
Ujjivan SFB deployed numerous cybersecurity solutions to detect, prevent and protect the bank's ecosystem from attacks originating from external and internal threat vectors. In addition to receiving treat intelligence that feeds automatically into the bank's SIEM solution, it receives advisories from various agencies such as SANS, IDRBT, NCIIPC, RSA, STIX, TAXII. Ujjivan also employs a threat hunting specialist. Ujjivan deployed an anti-APT system to detect Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs). It also has a logical partitioning between external and internal networks. Additionally, it deployed a Database Access Monitoring (DAM) solution to detect and prevent any anomalies with regards to data or access to the data in its databases. It has deployed Privilege Access Management (PIM) for logging and monitoring activities performed by its users. The bank also implemented Identity and Access Management (IDAM) and Single Sign-on (SSO) solutions to handle identities and authentications. Ujjivan is evaluating next generation cybersecurity solutions and a proof of concept (POC) is being carried out. It also makes sure that its users/employees are well aware of cybersecurity threats and the preventive actions that need to be taken from them through regular mailers, eLearning and instructor led awareness sessions.
