At Ramco Cements, Manikandan Kannan was responsible for implementing a number of features to strengthen cloud/in-house applications. Unauthorized access was prevented, even if the password table was hacked. With over 20 years of IT experience, Manikandan Kannan has expertise in developing mobile apps, web applications, managing database and ERP administration. He oversees all data security aspects at the organization. Prior to his stint at The Ramco Cements, Manikandan accrued half a decade of academic experience as a lecturer at AAM Engineering College.


At Ramco Cements, the security team led by Manikandan, implemented deep security solution across critical servers. It helped the company protect enterprise applications and data from breaches and business disruptions without emergency patching requirement. Deep Security shields known and unknown vulnerabilities from exploitation. Virtual patching was also applied to patch servers and endpoints prior to patch availability or deployment. File integrity monitoring and application control helped to prevent authorized file change, reducing risks of attacks such as watering hole. While stringent security measure are applied at Ramco, it doesn't cause hardship to the authorized users to use the application.
